Davido shades Wizkid on Olamide's hit "Summer Body" – reminds him of his US citizenship

Jun 22, 2017

Having been called upon by Olamide to feature in his latest tune, “Summer Body,” DMW boss Davido embraced the occasion to again throw jabs at his industry rival, Wizkid Ayo, reminding him that his stay in the U.S is temporary.
You are all aware of the recently rekindled feud between Davido and Wizkid which saw Wizkid referring to Davido as “local.” Well, Davido has come up with a fact that shows Wizkid as being the actual local one. In his verse in Olamide’s “Summer Body” track, Davido said; “With Yankee passport, dem say we local. You better catch up. I'll see you later.”

As you know, Davido was born in the United States. So, he is a citizen of that country. But Wizkid is there on a residential permit. He’s yet to get a green card. Davido doesn’t see why a guy chilling in the U.S on residential permit should be calling a U.S citizen local. And he thought it wise to make his point in Olamide’s song.

The YBNL boss doesn’t seem to have a problem with a singer shading another singer in his song. His silence could see him being dragged into the beef, as Wizkid may start seeing him as a rival. What do you think about all these???
